Who is a Freshman?

Freshmen are students currently enrolled in high school or who have recently graduated high school and have not enrolled as a degree-seeking student at another university or college since graduation. These students are considered undergraduate students.

Transfer & Adult

Who is a transfer/adult student?

Transfer students are those who have attended one or more regionally accredited postsecondary institution(s) since graduating from high school. These students may have earned credit transferable to Georgia Southern, but have never attended Georgia Southern as more than a transient.

Adult and non-traditional students are those who have been out of high school for at least five years or your high school class graduated at least five years ago.

Dual Enrollment

Who is considered dual enrolled?

Dual Enrollment is a state program allowing select high school students to attend college before receiving a high school diploma. Georgia Southern allows qualified high school juniors and seniors to participate.
