American College Testing
For ACT: On-Campus (formally ACT-Residual).

Cost
The ACT Exam takes place at Cone Hall on Saturdays.

Stand-by
You must complete the online Stand-By Registration Form to be admitted to the exam. See ACT Stand-By Testing for more information.
Photo Identification Requirements
You must upload a photo of yourself when you register for the exam. ACT has also updated the photo identification requirements to use for admission to the exam. See ACT ID Requirements. Remember if you do not have a photo identification, you can obtain a form from your high school principal or school counselor.
All Date Changes & Center Changes must change your date or location through your ACT Student Account prior to the testing date. We can no longer accept admissions tickets with other center locations or testing dates.

Testing Dates
The test is administered at Georgia Southern on the national testing dates with the reporting time of 8:00 am for deadlines see the ACT Testing Dates.
Test Format
The ACT Assessment® is designed to assess high school students’ general educational development and their ability to complete college-level work. It consists of multiple-choice tests in English, Mathematics, Reading, and Science Reasoning. Virtually all U.S. colleges and universities accept ACT results. The ACT Assessment offers a comprehensive way for high school students to demonstrate to the colleges and universities of their choice that they can become successful college students.

Mathematics | 60 questions | 60 minutes | Measuring mathematical skills students have typically acquired in courses taken up to the beginning of grade 12. |

Science | 40 questions | 35 minutes | Measures the interpretation, analysis, evaluation, reasoning, and problem-solving skills required in the natural sciences. |
Optional Writing Test | 1 prompt | 30 minutes | Measures writing skills emphasized in high school English classes and in entry-level college composition courses. |
Picture identification required for all tests. Please make sure you bring an acceptable ID.
Acceptable IDs: a valid state driver’s license, student ID, or passport. (Not accepted: check cashing cards, picture credit cards, Sam’s cards, etc.)
ACT On-Campus
Offered in Savannah & Statesboro (formerly the ACT-Residual Exam)
This test is for Georgia Southern University applicants when no convenient National ACT date is available or to improve their scores slightly. Candidates must have submitted their admissions application before testing. The ACT On-Campus scores are only valid for Georgia Southern University and are non-transferable. There is no transcript service maintained on ACT On-Campus scores. You must apply to Georgia Southern University before testing.
- The ACT On-Campus can be taken every 60 days.
- The exam is 4 hours consisting of four subject areas: English, mathematics, reading, and science.
- Your ACT On-Campus score will be sent to the Georgia Southern Admissions Office within two (2) days of the test administration.
- Examinees must bring several sharpened #2 pencils and a calculator.
- Examinees must apply for admission to Georgia Southern University before the testing date. If the examinee has not applied for admission to Georgia Southern University, they will not be eligible to take the exam. For information concerning Admissions, visit the Admissions website.

Registration & Fees
Group Exam Fee: $75.00
Scheduled Appointment: $85.00
You must apply to Georgia Southern University before testing.
Credit Card/Web Check: Payment for the exam can be received through a credit card or web check at the Office of Testing Services Marketplace for both group or private appointments. For group appointments, the Testing Office must receive your registration form and payment must be received by the registration deadline.
