The Psychology Clinic at Georgia Southern provides high-quality, low-cost psychological services to residents of Bulloch County and surrounding areas. As a training facility for graduate students in the Doctorate of Clinical Psychology (PsyD) program, all services are provided under the supervision of licensed psychologists to ensure professional and ethical care.

Psychological Services We Provide

We offer individual, couples, marital and family therapy as well as select psychological assessments, based on therapist availability.

How to Schedule an Appointment

  • Call 912-478-1685 to schedule. If unavailable, leave a confidential voicemail.
  • The first appointment lasts 1.5 hours, including 30 minutes for paperwork.
    • Your intake therapist will gather information to help assess your needs and determine whether the Psychology Clinic can appropriately provide services. The information you provide is private and confidential.
  • Walk-ins are not accepted.

Fees & Payment Options

  • Initial appointment: $5
  • Therapy sessions: Sliding scale, $5–$30 per session based on family size & income
  • Assessments: Fees vary, please call for details.

Hours of Operation

Hours of availability vary by semester, so we encourage clients to call for current hours. Generally, the Psychology Clinic opens at 1 p.m. and offers evening appointments three days a week until 7 p.m. Sessions are scheduled based on graduate student availability, and appointment times may shift depending on academic calendars and training requirements. The clinic follows Georgia Southern University’s schedule for holidays and closures, which may affect appointment availability. Location & Directions

The Psychology Clinic is located off of Highway 301/South Main Street on the Georgia Southern University campus. Turn onto Parrish Drive (across the street from the Super 8 Motel) from Highway 301. You will be on Parrish Drive for less than a block before the street ends.  Turn left onto Forest Drive and left into the Psychology Clinic parking lot, which is adjacent to the building. The Psychology Clinic building is the first and only building on the left.  The clinic is located directly across from the Child Development Center, next to Campus Safety and diagonal from the Wildlife Center.  For assistance and to locate visitor parking, please contact clinic staff at 912-478-1685.

Therapy services are provided by graduate student therapists in the PsyD program, under the direct supervision of licensed psychologists.

  • Videos are permanently deleted after supervision.

  • Recordings are confidential and not stored in client files.

The Psychology Clinic offers individual, couples, marital and family therapy. Assessment services may be provided depending on student therapist experience and availability.

No. The Psychology Clinic does not have a medical professional on staff and as a result cannot write prescriptions for medication or provide medication management.

The Psychology Clinic is available to the general public. We are able to provide services to children, adolescents and adults. Students enrolled full-time at Georgia Southern University may be seen for up to 12 sessions of therapy at the Counseling & Career Development Center at no charge. The CCDC can be reached at (912) 478-5541.

No, though current clients are welcome to call and speak with their therapist or their therapist’s supervisor, if available. In the event of a mental health emergency, please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.

No. Therapy sessions are video recorded for supervision purposes. This is a common training method employed by psychology training clinics. Individuals who view videos or have access to videos are bound by state and federal law to uphold client confidentiality. If you have concerns about being video recorded, please speak with your student therapist or call the Psychology Clinic at (912) 478-1685.

No. Video recorded sessions are used for the purposes of supervision. They are stored separately from your client file and are permanently deleted after they are no longer needed for supervision.
