PRestige
PRestige is a nonprofit student-run Public Relations firm. Anyone with three or more semesters remaining can apply to join PRestige. Unlike other student organizations, individuals must go through an interview process. Applications are accepted in the fall and spring semesters. There can be no more than 18 members in PRestige at a time.

PRSSA Chapter
Georgia Southern maintains an active local chapter affiliated with the national Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA). The Georgia Southern chapter also participates in activities offered by the related professional society, the Public Relations Society of America, at the national, state, and local levels. Members of the local chapter annually attend national conventions that have included locations such as Michigan, New York, and New Orleans. Professional practitioners speak to the chapter on a regular basis and members develop practical experience through fundraisers and philanthropic work.

The Public Relations Advisory Board is made up of primarily alumni, but also includes friends of Georgia Southern.

L.E.A.P. Certification
L.E.A.P. is a certification program sponsored by the Georgia Southern Public Relations Advisory Board, and is available for public relations majors. The program highlights four key components — leadership, experience in communication, academics, and professionalism. You can achieve certification by earning points in each of these four areas.
Students who complete the L.E.A.P. certification program receive recognition of the accomplishment on their resume, a postgraduate interview with a Georgia Southern Public Relations Advisory Board member and a certificate. The certification shows potential employers that you went above and beyond what was expected in the degree program, building your portfolio as well as your credibility.

Take Action
Follow these steps to complete the Georgia Southern application:
- Create an application account.
- Complete our online application using the PIN you received after creating your application account.
- Once complete, pay the $30 application fee or upload a valid fee waiver. Previous Georgia Southern applicants and dual enrollment students do not need to pay the fee.
You can check your application status at My.GeorgiaSouthern.edu/admissions three days after completing your application. This page contains live information about your admission status, including a checklist of missing documents we need to make a decision.
