About the Program
Courses and Credit Offered
Students have the opportunity to earn course credit and must be enrolled in 3 credit hours to participate in this program. Students admitted to the program will earn credit for BUSA 3083 – Business Abroad: Japan.
Undergraduate BBA students may use this course as a substitute for their BUSA 4131 requirement.
Eligibility
Undergraduate students should have junior status (60 earned credit hours) by the start of the summer 2025 minimester I term and be a declared business major with no less than a 2.5 GPA, and no active disciplinary record with the institution. All students must be fully admitted to the institution and at least 18 years of age by the program departure date.
Space availability is first-come, first-served. A completed application and deposit must be submitted prior to being formally accepted to the program.
Dates of Program
Travel: May 30 – June 11, 2025
Students will enroll for credit during the summer 2025 minimester I term and will be required to participate in pre-departure course meetings prior to arrival on-site in Japan.
Students should plan to depart the U.S. on May 30 and arrive to Tokyo, Japan on June 1. They should plan to depart from Tokyo no earlier than June 11.
Specific directions pertaining to airfare purchases will be shared with students once they are accepted into the program. Students should not purchase airfare without first speaking to their program directors.
Program Cost: $3,150.00
Includes: All regional and local transportation; lodging for the duration of the program; welcome and farewell dinners; several lunches; tour, cultural, and entrance expenses; guest lectures; site visits to local businesses; insurance coverage; Business Abroad polo shirt.
Additional Costs: Tuition & fees for 3 credit hours of course enrollment, round-trip airfare to Tokyo, Japan, and additional meals/personal expenses not included in the program cost.

Program Application and $500.00 deposit payment: Due March 15, 2025
1st Program Payment of $1,317.00: Due April 1, 2025
2nd Program Payment of $1,317.00 and Insurance Payment of $16.00: Due May 1, 2025
