Help Support Graduate Students at Georgia Southern University
Many graduate students come to us already bearing the burden of undergraduate student loans. For some, a graduate education is simply unaffordable. Students who graduate from Georgia Southern often remain in the state and in the region, building better futures for our economy and giving back to the State of Georgia. We can aide these students by helping them afford a solid graduate education.
An Opportunity
A pressing need is for more scholarships for graduate students. You have the opportunity to create a scholarship in your name that helps to support graduate students within any discipline of your choosing, making it possible for dedicated graduate students to attain advanced degrees. Many individuals have already established scholarships to support.
There are many ways to give:
- Create a graduate scholarship in your name by providing, or contributing to, a major gift:
- $25,000 is needed to create an endowed scholarship that provides approximately $1,000 per year
- $250,000 is needed to create an endowed scholarship that provides approximately $12,500 per year to support tuition and living expenses
- Other one-time and recurring contributions help support graduate student research and scholarship opportunities.
Note: *Please direct your gift to Account #GS0934, the Jack N. Averitt College of Graduate Studies.
