Top National Prize Awarded to Georgia Southern Engineering Student
Paulson College of Engineering master’s student Mohammad Towhidul Islam Rimon earned first place at the 2023 American Society of Mechanical Engineers Power Applied R&D Conference for his U.S. Department of Energy-funded research involving sealing technologies for sCO2 power generation. Supported by faculty mentor Dr. Cesmeci, Rimon won the best student paper award, surpassing those from the University of Cambridge and other institutions.
