Learn about resident birds in the garden and those migrating our way. We recommend bringing binoculars (or borrow a pair from us) and your favorite bird ID app. No app? We’ll help you get set up!

Hours of Operation

  • Monday-Friday: 9 am – 5 pm
  • Saturday: 9 am – 2 pm
  • Sunday: 1 pm – 5 pm
  • Closed on all University holidays.

Visitor Information

  • The Garden is a non-smoking (non-vaping) facility.
  • Pets are not allowed beyond the parking lot to protect plants and wildlife.
    • Service animals as defined by the ADA are welcome.
  • Most paths are accessible, though some may have uneven surfaces.
  • Water bottles are recommended, especially during warmer months.

  • $5 per adult
  • FREE for Garden members, students, and children
  • Reciprocal Admissions Program: Free admission for members of the American Horticultural Society

The Garden participates in the American Horticultural Society’s Reciprocal Admissions Program. Members of this program receive free admission to the Garden.

Photography

Casual photography by visitors during their Garden experience is welcome.

Anyone using the Garden as a backdrop for portraits or special occasion photos must schedule in advance and pay the photography fee ($50/hour), including:

  • Anyone receiving payment for photography services
  • Anyone rendering services typically provided by a professional photographer (even if not charging)
  • Anyone taking photographs of more than 5 people

Directions

The Garden is located a few blocks from the main campus of Georgia Southern University at 1503 Bland Avenue.

take I-16 West to exit 127/Georgia Hwy 67. Take Hwy 67 North (Fair Road) to Statesboro. Turn left onto Georgia Avenue, just after the traffic light at Bermuda Run/Greenbriar Apartments. Turn right onto Bland Avenue. The Garden gates will be on your right.

take I-16 east to exit 116/US Hwy 301/25. Take Hwy 301 North to Statesboro. Turn right onto 301 bypass. Turn left at the traffic light onto Lanier Drive. At the end of Lanier Drive, turn right onto Georgia Avenue and an immediate left onto Bland Avenue. The Garden gates will be on your right.

take US Hwy 25 South to Statesboro. Turn right onto Georgia Hwy 67 South. (Note: Hwy 67 South will turn slightly to the left in downtown Statesboro and become Hwy 67 South/Fair Road.) Turn right onto Georgia Avenue (the first right after the traffic light at West Gentilly Road). Turn right onto Bland Avenue. The Garden gates will be on your right.
