Transfer Students
Transferring to Georgia Southern University? This guide provides key steps to ensure a smooth financial aid transition. Update your FAFSA with Georgia Southern’s code, meet with your advisor, and contact your current school about financial aid cancellation and loan deferment. Don’t forget to request transcripts and familiarize yourself with Georgia Southern’s financial aid deadlines.
Transient Students
Want to study at another college while still being a Georgia Southern student? No problem! You can still get financial aid as a transient student. Just remember to fill out the FAFSA with Georgia Southern’s school code and get a few forms signed. Your financial aid will be sent to your host school once they verify your enrollment. Make sure to stay on top of your grades and keep your address up-to-date.
Dual Enrollment
Dual enrollment students can receive financial aid too! You’ll still be responsible for course and proctoring fees, but tuition and mandatory fees are covered. Just make sure you meet the eligibility requirements and apply for the GAfutures Dual Enrollment Scholarship before the start of the academic year.
