- Students must be enrolled in at least 1/2 time to receive loans.
- 1/2 time for undergraduate students is 6 hours per semester.

- Students who are borrowing funds through the William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan Program for the first time MUST satisfy the following requirements before any loan funds will be released.
- Georgia Southern University students attending another Title IV eligible U.S. Institution as a transient are required to read, understand, and complete the information on our transient student page.
- The Office of Financial Aid facilitates the offering of federal aid for students via the FAFSA form which is located at studentaid.gov. If you are not a US citizen or an eligible noncitizen (hold a T-1 Visa or one of the following found here: https://studentaid.gov/help/eligible-noncitizen) Please contact International Admissions at intladmissions@georgiasouthern.edu or International Student Admissions and Programs (ISAP) at international@georgiasouthern.edu for further aid assistance.
