What You’ll Learn

The MAT’s broad training prepares you to design effective learning strategies for every area of the elementary curriculum. Building on foundational courses in assessment, classroom management, and culturally responsive and critical pedagogy, you will study instructional methods and evidence-based practices for mathematics, language arts, science, social studies and more.

Then, you will implement what you have acquired through two observation-based classroom practicums. An extended internship also allows you to hone your teaching and management strategies with expert feedback.
