Tuition & Aid

Tuition and Fees

Your cost of attendance will vary based on several factors:

  • Which program are you applying for? Some programs have premium tuition rates.
  • Will you be taking classes online? Tuition and fees are different for online classes.
  • Will you be working as a graduate assistant? Graduate assistants receive a significant tuition discount.
  • Are you a Georgia resident? In-state students qualify for a substantially lower base tuition rate for on-campus classes.

Residency

There is a substantial difference in the cost of attendance for in-state and out-of-state students. Students are classified as either residents or non-residents of Georgia based on information provided in the application for admission to Georgia Southern, which adheres to guidelines established by the University System of Georgia.  Any information indicating ties to another state (out-of-state address, out-of-state school, out-of-state driver’s license, etc.) will result in an out-of-state classification. You must submit documentation providing proof of residency or request a waiver to qualify for in-state tuition.
