Flywire Charitable Foundation Scholarship

In 2020, Flywire established the Flywire Charitable Foundation with the mission to improve individuals’ access to quality education, healthcare and other important life experiences, wherever they are in the world. One of the first initiatives the Foundation launched was the scholarship program, designed to help students and their families better manage costs associated with their education. We are very excited to be able to help students from around the world pursue an education and to recognize those whose aim is to make the world a better place.

Key Highlights:

  • Last year, 4 scholarships were awarded to students around the globe, with each student receiving $4500 USD.
  • This year, 7 new scholarships will be awarded, with each student receiving $5000 USD.
  • The scholarship themes – social justice, global health and global citizenship – will be awarded to students with academic pursuits in related disciplines.
  • The scholarships are open to matriculating & currently enrolled UG & Graduate students worldwide.

What is the process?

  1. Applicants will need to complete a short application form and submit either an essay or video
  2. Submissions will be evaluated by the Flywire Charitable Foundation committee and a group of diverse Flywire volunteers from around the world
  3. Winners will then be selected
  4. Should you be selected, Flywire will work with ISAP to verify your eligibility/active enrollment, and confirm wire details for funds disbursement
  5. Winners will be publicly announced
