General Business
Delta Sigma Pi
Delta Sigma Pi is a professional fraternity organized to foster the study of business in universities; to encourage scholarship, social activity. and the association of students for their mutual advancement by research and practice; to promote closer affiliation between the commercial world and students of commerce; and to further a higher standard of commercial ethics and culture and the civic and commercial welfare of the community.
Eagle Executive Society – Student Chapter
The Eagle Executive Society – Student Chapter connects current Georgia Southern students with a network of more than 22,000 Parker College of Business alumni. Among them are CEOs, entrepreneurs, executives, and emerging leaders from virtually every industry across Georgia and the country. You will have the opportunity to engage this network and attend various gatherings and events. You will develop your networking and communication abilities and build connections that can advance your business career while learning “out-of-classroom” skills such as business dinner etiquette, golf etiquette, how to build your LinkedIn profile, and more.

Women in Business (WIB) exists to help all individuals grow in their professional development. We are committed to sharing lessons and skills needed to advance in a career beyond college. Join us to build long-lasting relationships that will put you on the path to success.
Accounting
Beta Alpha Psi
An honorary organization for Financial Information students and professionals. The primary objective of Beta Alpha Psi is to encourage and give recognition to scholastic and professional excellence in the business information field. This includes promoting the study and practice of accounting, finance and information systems; providing opportunities for self-development, service and association among members and practicing professionals, and encouraging a sense of ethical, social, and public responsibility. To be eligible for membership in Beta Alpha Psi, you must have completed at least ACCT 3131 (Intermediate Accounting I), have at least a 3.0 GPA in all upper-level accounting courses, and have at least a cumulative GPA of 3.0. Membership to Beta Alpha Psi is by invitation only.
Accounting Association
Acquaints students interested in Accounting with the wide variety of career options available in the field.
Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE)
Specifically for students interested in Fraud Examination and Forensic Studies. This organization prepares interested students for the Certified Fraud Examiners test.
Career Professional Advancement Society (CPAs)
This organization’s mission is to provide competitive advantages to its members through networking, leadership, professional opportunities, internship experiences, and service to the accounting profession. Members who complete a prescribed program of network building and professional development activities are awarded a certificate. Students who join receive a student membership in the Georgia Society of CPAs.
National Association of Black Accountants (NABA)
The National Association of Black Accountants (NABA, Inc.), is a nonprofit membership association dedicated to bridging the opportunity gap for people of minority in the accounting, finance, consulting, information technology, and other related business professions. This organization’s mission is to address the professional needs of its members and to build leaders that shape the future of the accounting and finance profession with an unfaltering commitment to inspire the same in their successors. This includes providing opportunities for professional development, networking with current professionals, scholarships, and annual conferences.
Student Center for the Public Trust
The Student Center for the Public Trust is an on-campus organization that anyone can join. Benefits include enhanced growth and marketability – students will be able to grow their knowledge of ethical leadership principles and use this knowledge as a platform to communicate this interest to potential employers. Immediate application of learning – students will engage in training sessions with speakers who will help them better understand how to uphold their values on campus and in the workplace.
Business Administration
MBA Association
The MBA Association (MBAA) is the student organization for Master of Business Administration (MBA) students. The MBAA mission is to enhance the MBA students’ experience by providing an avenue for academic and professional development. The group meets weekly during the fall and spring semesters, bringing in guest speakers on topics of significance for graduate-level students. The MBAA also participates in a volunteer activity each semester, which is voted on by the students, and also makes visits to local and regional businesses to observe business operations. The MBAA is an organization for the students, by the students.
Economics
Eagle Economics Society
The Eagles Economics Society invites students from all majors to learn about economics and network with professors, current students, alumni, and business leaders. During our weekly meetings, we hear from (1) current and former students about internship or work experiences; (2) business leaders with perspectives on their industries; and (3) professors about extracurricular opportunities, the graduate school application process, building a resume, and personal finance. We also travel to various businesses to take tours and conferences to hear the world’s leading economists speak on a range of topics.

Finance Association
The Georgia Southern Finance Association is an active business student organization that strives to provide its members with valuable information and contacts. As a business organization, we will help maintain communication between the business community and the academic world. Along with valuable career advice, we want to introduce and expand networking opportunities for all students wishing to participate in the organization.
Southern Investment Association (SIA)
The Southern Investment Association (SIA) is a select group of Georgia Southern University students, who seek to increase their knowledge and experience in the field of investments through real-life application of skills learned in the classroom. Since its founding in 2013, SIA has set their expectations at the highest level and aims to compete with other student-managed funds. We will demonstrate our skills in finance, economics, accounting, marketing, and other areas through the development and active management of our financial portfolio. Our goal is to create a successful value-based fund of domestic stocks that potentially attracts capital from internal and external constituencies.

Informs is the leading organization for analytics, information systems and operations research. Identify, meet and confer with professors, practitioners and other students, hear from experts and compete against students from around the world. For more information, please view our flyer.
SAP Student Advantage
The SAP Student Advantage organization is a special interest organization located within the Department of Information Systems. We are here to promote and educate our peers on the benefits of having an IS major/minor and the importance of receiving SAP certification.
Eagle SAP User Group (ESUG)
Eagle SAP Users Group is a student-run organization that helps promote information systems and SAP. We work primarily to provide for students interested in the field of information systems internships and job opportunities with top companies through different events and networking.
America’s SAP User Group (ASUG)
Americas’ SAP User Group (ASUG) is a national forum where users of SAP, usually companies, get together in a structured manner and share their experiences with SAP. They relate the success or problems with implementation, effective ways to build from the ground up, how to maintain your system, and the right time to expand and still be relevant.
Association for Information Systems (AIS)
The Association for Information Systems (AIS) serves society through the advancement of knowledge and the promotion of excellence in the practice and study of information systems. AIS is the premier professional association for individuals and organizations who lead the research, teaching, practice, and study of information systems worldwide.
Logistics & Supply Chain Management
The Georgia Southern Logistics Association (GSLA)
GSLA is aimed at students interested in logistics and intermodal transportation. GSLA works to foster an appreciation of logistics as a motivating force in industry and commerce, through a focus on career development and networking with industry professionals. GSLA invites logistics and supply chain professionals from different industries to speak at monthly meetings and provides opportunities for students to attend industry conferences and tour facilities such as Wal-Mart, Home Depot, Target, and IKEA. Select students in leadership roles at GSLA are also chosen to represent the Georgia Southern University Logistics program at national conferences and industry networking events.
Women Impacting Supply Chain Excellence at Georgia Southern University (WISE)
WISE GSU, seeks to promote the supply chain management (SCM) major, provide enrichment opportunities to ALL undergraduate students with an interest in SCM, and serve as a talent pipeline to valued employers—all while building both internal peer and external professional networks. WISE regularly hosts supply chain firms that provide students an opportunity to learn about intern/full-time job opportunities, solve chain challenge questions, and engage directly with top Supply Chain Management professions. WISE also provides professional development workshops specific to the supply chain management career field including résumé development and more. Eta Sigma Delta
Eta Sigma Delta is an international honorary society for hospitality students with grade point averages above 3.0.
Enactus
Enactus is a global, student-led organization focusing on providing economic support to the local area through sustainable entrepreneurial projects. Enactus meets monthly (and sometimes more frequently), works closely with local and regional organizations, and offers students the opportunity to develop relationships with area business leaders, learn entrepreneurial skills, and utilize entrepreneurial actions to better the world around them. The organization participates in a regional competition in the spring, often advancing to national competitions which take place in early summer.
The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM)
The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) is targeted towards students with an interest in personnel administration. SHRM is the world’s largest association devoted to human resource management. Representing more than 250,000 members in over 140 countries, the Society serves the needs of HR professionals and advances the interests of the HR profession. Founded in 1948, SHRM has more than 575 affiliated chapters within the United States and subsidiary offices in China and India. Partnering with the local Statesboro SHRM Chapter, the SHRM Student Chapter at Georgia Southern is consistently recognized as a Superior Merit Award Student Chapter.
Southern Hospitality Executives
The Southern Hospitality Executives is a student organization focused on enhancing in-class learning in hospitality through experiential opportunities. These opportunities are designed to provide direct interface with industry events, locales, and players. The group is focused on arranging hospitality oriented travel opportunities each term. This includes travel to known tourist destinations, behind the scenes tours of major hospitality assets/areas, meet and greet opportunities with industry executives, and career and hiring guidance. The club also holds local events at hospitality venues on a monthly basis (tastings tours, contests). Some light fund raising is expected and dues are $30 (to be eligible for sponsored travel events). The club is open to all students regardless of major or year.
Marketing
Pi Sigma Epsilon
Pi Sigma Epsilon is the only national co-ed professional fraternity in the fields of sales, marketing, and management. The fraternal order was created for marketing and sales students who want to strengthen and further develop their professional skills.
Joining the Gamma Lambda Chapter of Pi Sigma Epsilon provides students with an advantage by setting them up for future success in their chosen career path. Members have the opportunity to engage in various sales and marketing activities, networking events, and national sales competitions that provide practical experience that future employers are looking for in a new graduate. The life-long connections and friendships you’ll make at our local chapter and with Georgia Southern alumni all over the U.S., will help you build confidence, develop your leadership skills, and better prepare you for your professional career.
