Substance Misuse Treatment Resources
If you think that you are at risk of an opioid overdose, please call the Georgia Crisis and Access Line at 1-800-715-4225.
The Georgia Crisis and Access Line (GCAL) is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year to help you or someone you care for in a crisis. GCAL professionals will:
- Provide crisis intervention services over the phone
- Dispatch mobile crisis teams, if needed
- Assist individuals in finding an open crisis or detox bed across the State
- Link individuals with urgent appointment services
GCAL will help you to access a State-Funded provider in your area in a non-emergency as well.
Addiction Recovery and Treatment Resources
Several resources exist to support individuals who are considering treatment for opioid or substance use disorder.
The Opioid Treatment Providers of Georgia have certified treatment facilities throughout Georgia. A list of certified facilities can be found here.
Additionally, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) provides resources throughout the United States. Services include:

Naloxone Access
Naloxone is a lifesaving drug that acts by rapidly restoring breathing in someone whose breathing has slowed or stopped due to an opioid overdose. Naloxone is available for purchase from most Georgia Pharmacies under a standing order. Additionally, naloxone may be available from several agencies at free or reduced cost, including:
- All Georgia RCOs (Recovery Community Organizations) and CSBs (Community Services Boards) receive naloxone for distribution under a new DBHDD grant. Contact your local RCO or CSB to request naloxone.

Safer Sex Supplies
Georgia Southern Health Services is committed to creating a safe and healthy campus environment for our students. Safer sex supplies are available to students through Health Services on the Statesboro and Armstrong campuses.
Statesboro
Safer sex supplies are available for free at the Health Services Pharmacy during normal business hours.

Male and female condoms may also be requested at your local health department. Local health departments will also provide condoms via mail. Instructions to request mail order condoms is listed below.

Bulk Supply Requests
If you would like to request a bulk order of condoms for your organization, program, or event, please complete the following request form. Bulk condom requests will be filled on a case-by-case basis and while supplies last. Please allow 3 business days to process requests.
Please note that this form is for bulk requests for distribution only. Safer sex supplies for personal use, including male and female condoms, lube, and dental dams, are available from the Health Services Pharmacy, as supplies last.
