Developed by the Parker College of Business Department of Management and the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences School of Human Ecology, the Interdisciplinary Certificate in Hospitality Management program at Georgia Southern focuses on equipping graduates with the knowledge and skills to excel at a career in the hospitality or tourism industries.
Although most students enrolled in this program tend to be pursuing either the Bachelor of Business Administration degree with an emphasis in Hospitality Management or the Bachelor of Science in Recreation with an emphasis in Tourism and Community Leisure Services, any student enrolled at Georgia Southern University, regardless of degree program or major, is eligible to earn the Certificate.
Students in our certificate program receive a solid, applied educational experience and exit with a real-world understanding of potential hospitality careers. Coupled with an undergraduate degree from Georgia Southern University, this certificate prepares students to thrive in a managerial role and bring value to the hospitality industry.

What You’ll Learn
Students should have completed 60 hours of study in order to enter the certificate program and indicate their intent to pursue the Certificate by completing an application form. Students will learn the broad economic principles related to hospitality and tourism along with specific skills in management, planning and operations. All students in the program must complete a practical internship. Specific classes include

- Pay the $30 application fee or upload a valid fee waiver once complete. Previous Georgia Southern applicants and dual-enrollment students do not need to pay the fee.
