What You’ll Learn
As an Art History major, you’ll closely investigate and analyze visual styles, cultural movements and social evidence spanning thousands of years, obtaining a critical understanding of the connections between different time periods and cultures.
You’ll expand your basic understanding and appreciation of art works through introductory level courses. In the advanced curriculum, you’ll build on that foundational knowledge, exploring more specialized areas of art history and pursuing a broad range of cultural and historical genres in the field—Western and non-Western, prehistory to contemporary.

Our Art Department is host to incredible state-of-the-art facilities in Statesboro and Savannah filled with professional equipment and current technology.
Get up close and personal in the studio by scheduling a Facilities Tour. We encourage you to make the most of their time on campus, therefore, the BFSDoArt schedules tours around the Office of Admissions Campus Tours and the Department of Housing’s Residence Hall Tours.

- Complete our online application using the PIN you received after creating your application account.
- Once complete, pay the $30 application fee or upload a valid fee waiver. Previous Georgia Southern applicants and dual enrollment students do not need to pay the fee.
