You will also examine contemporary trends and issues, critically reflecting on strategies for curriculum design, instructional methods, targeted interventions and student evaluation. In the process, you’ll gain insights you can apply to your own context, refine how you teach reading to students from numerous backgrounds and explore new ways to facilitate learning outcomes through technology.

Through a field-based capstone project, you will design and reflect on an intervention to improve reading instruction in your school.
