Student Veterans of America is a national organization devoted to providing military veterans with the resources, support, and advocacy needed to succeed in higher education and following graduation. Georgia Southern hosts independent chapters of SVA at our Statesboro and Armstrong Campuses.

The Student Veterans of America serves veterans and their families by providing them with a community on campus and a professional network for them to achieve academic excellence.

Our mission is to provide student veterans with the resources they need during their transition from military life into the college environment. As a nationally recognized organization, we provide our members with volunteer opportunities, peer mentorship, education benefit assistance, and a strong presence that represents them within their community, both on and off campus. Through purpose and direction, we aim to bring an inclusive and immersive experience for our veterans here at Georgia Southern University.
