About the SSEC
The Shooting Sports Education Center is the heart of all things shooting sports in southeast Georgia, and it’s within walking distance from M.C. Anderson Park in Statesboro. This 30,000 square foot facility provides educational, recreational and competitive archery and firearms activities for the local community and Georgia Southern’s students, faculty and staff.
The SSEC first opened on October 8, 2015 and operates in partnership with the Wildlife Resources Division of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, the Easton Sports Development Foundation and the Archery Trade Association. The SSEC is located in a school safety zone which requires all participants outside of training programs and competition to obtain a membership with the center.
