Schedule a Campus Visit

Campus visits are available Monday through Friday and are the best way to experience Georgia Southern firsthand. Planning Your Visit

Whether you’re exploring Georgia Southern for the first time or preparing for your next step toward enrollment, we offer a variety of visit experiences designed to fit your schedule and interests. From daily campus tours and open house events to transfer visits, group tours, virtual experiences, and Spanish-language options, our team is here to help you plan a visit that feels informative, welcoming, and personalized.

In order for us to best prepare for your arrival, we strongly encourage you to schedule your visit at least three or more business days prior to your desired visit date. If you require special assistance, such as handicap accessibility, please contact our office at least three days prior to your visit. We are happy to provide accommodations to make your visit more enjoyable.

You can schedule your visit by:

  • Completing our online registration form for the campus you want to visit.
  • Calling the Office of Admissions at 912-478-5851. 
  • Emailing the Office of Admissions at visit@georgiasouthern.edu.

Daily campus visits are available Monday through Friday. We also host Eagle Preview open house events on select Saturdays throughout the year — check our events calendar for upcoming dates. If you’re unable to visit during those times, our virtual visit page offers interactive campus tours, student-led video tours, and residence hall walkthroughs available anytime, on your schedule.

Yes. We welcome groups of high school-aged students (ages 14-18) and can accommodate up to 60 students. We strongly recommend booking your visit at least four weeks in advance to ensure date and time availability and to allow us time to best prepare for your visit. Yes. We schedule regular daily visits for students looking to transfer to Georgia Southern University from another college or university. Learn more about transfer visits and how to schedule one.

Yes. Tours are available in Spanish upon request. We require a minimum of two weeks’ notice to schedule a tour in Spanish. Please contact the Office of Admissions for more information.

Before You Arrive

A little preparation can make your Georgia Southern visit even smoother. After you register, watch your email for confirmation details, directions, parking information and any visit-specific updates.

You should receive a confirmation email almost immediately after submitting your registration form — so keep an eye on your inbox. Make sure the email address you enter on your registration form is correct before submitting, as your confirmation will be sent there.

If you don’t receive a confirmation email, contact the Office of Admissions at 912-478-5851 or visit@georgiasouthern.edu and we’ll make sure your registration was received and get your confirmation sent to the right place.

Because your campus visit includes a walking tour, we strongly encourage you to wear comfortable walking shoes and to dress appropriately for the forecasted weather. During the summer months our campuses can be quite warm and humid. No matter the weather, the Office of Admissions will provide you with bottled water prior to your tour departure.

Statesboro Campus

Free visitor parking is available in front of Lewis Hall (Office of Admissions) on Sweetheart Circle. If you have trouble finding a parking spot, additional parking spots may be available in the parking lot behind Lewis Hall. Prior to your visit, we will email you a form to register your car (once you register your car, a parking permit is not needed).

Armstrong Campus in Savannah

Free visitor parking is available in front of Victor Hall (Office of Admissions). Prior to your visit, we will email you a form to register your car (once you register your car, a parking permit is not needed).

Liberty Campus in Hinesville

Please park in any spot not marked as reserved.

Day of Your Visit

Your visit day is designed to be simple, welcoming and easy to follow from the moment you arrive. You’ll check in at your campus admissions office before your admissions presentation and campus tour, with time to ask questions, explore student spaces and connect with available staff.

We recommend arriving no more than 10 minutes before your visit starts — that gives you plenty of time to check in and get settled before your admissions presentation. If you’d like to meet with someone about admissions, financial aid, or anything else, plan to arrive up to an hour early to connect with available staff.

  • Campus walking tour with Southern Ambassador: 1 hour
  • Bus tour to RAC and Allen E. Paulson Stadium: 45 minutes

Armstrong Campus in Savannah

Your Armstrong Campus visit will last approximately an hour and a half. This time is broken up as follows:

  • Information session with admissions representative: 15-20 minutes
  • Campus walking tour with Southern Ambassador: 1 hour

East Georgia Campus in Swainsboro

Your Swainsboro Campus visit will last approximately an hour and a half. This time is broken up as follows:

  • Information session with admissions representative: 15-20 minutes
  • Campus walking tour with Southern Ambassador: 1 hour

Liberty Campus in Hinesville

  • Information session with admissions representative: 15-30 minutes

Yes. The Office of Admissions has partnered with Eagle Dining Services to offer discounted passes ($11.50/person) for lunch at our Dining Commons on the Statesboro campus and The Galley on the Armstrong campus on the day of your visit. Ask our staff about the discounted voucher.

Yes. While you will hear from one of our counselors during your information session, you may also make an appointment to sit down one-on-one with them before or after your visit. Please call the Office of Admissions at 912-478-5851 to schedule your appointment.

Yes. We are happy to provide you with an official school excuse after your official campus visit with admissions is over. We will only provide an excuse for the day you visited Georgia Southern University.
